Create events, tasks, and buckets on the calendar

The calendar lets you create three kinds of items: events, tasks, and buckets.

Open the create menu

Click or drag on an empty calendar slot. Dainvo opens a small menu near your pointer with three choices:

  • Event
  • Bucket
  • Task

Choose the type that matches what you want to plan.

Create an event

Use an event for meetings, appointments, calls, deadlines that belong on a calendar, or anything that should behave like a normal calendar item.

When you create or edit an event, choose the calendar, title, time, location, reminders, availability, attendees, and any online meeting provider you need.

The Location field accepts plain text on every plan. Paid and development accounts can also search Google by address or business name, select the correct map result, and open the selected place in Google Maps later.

Read-only calendars can be shown in Dainvo, but editing may be blocked by the provider.

Create a task block

Use a task when the item is completable work. A task can exist as a task list item, and it can also be scheduled on the calendar as a task block.

Scheduling a task does not turn it into a calendar event. It stays a task, and checking it off completes the task everywhere it appears.

Create a bucket

Use a bucket when you want to block time for a group of tasks.

For example, create a bucket called Admin work from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, then add tasks like reply to invoices, update CRM notes, and review your task inbox. Only the bucket needs to appear as the scheduled calendar block.

Click behavior

Single-click an existing item to view quick details or select it in the right details panel when that panel is open.

Click the same item again to close its quick popup.

Double-click an item when you want to open the editor.
