Apple Calendar integration

Apple Calendar lets Dainvo connect to calendars stored in iCloud.

What syncs

Dainvo connects to Apple Calendar through iCloud CalDAV. It uses your Apple Account email, an app-specific password, and the iCloud CalDAV server.

Before you install

Your Apple Account must have two-factor authentication enabled before Apple lets you create app-specific passwords.

Create an app-specific password at account.apple.com. Use that generated password in Dainvo, not your normal Apple Account password.

Install

  1. Open Settings > Accounts.
  2. Choose Connect Apple Calendar.
  3. Enter your Apple Account email.
  4. Enter the app-specific password from Apple. Spaces are okay; Dainvo removes them before storing.
  5. Choose a display name if needed.
  6. Connect and wait for Dainvo to verify the account.

Remove

  1. Open Settings > Accounts.
  2. Find Apple Calendar.
  3. Use Remove and confirm.
  4. Revoke the app-specific password at account.apple.com if you want Apple to reject future access from that password.

Removing Apple Calendar from Dainvo does not delete calendars or events from iCloud.

Troubleshooting

  • Normal Apple password fails: generate and use an app-specific password.
  • Two-factor authentication missing: enable it in your Apple Account first.
  • Password was changed or revoked: create a new app-specific password and reconnect.
  • Calendar edits fail: confirm the calendar is not read-only and that iCloud Calendar is enabled for the Apple Account.
