Use buckets to time block multiple tasks
Buckets are calendar time blocks that can contain multiple tasks.
Use a bucket when you want to reserve a chunk of time for a group of work instead of scheduling each task separately.
Example
Bucket: Admin work
Time: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Tasks inside:
- Reply to invoices
- Update CRM notes
- Review a synced task inbox
Only the bucket needs to appear on the calendar. The tasks stay as normal tasks inside the bucket.
Create a bucket
Click or drag on the calendar and choose Bucket. Add a title, time, availability, description, and optional calendar.
A bucket can stay local to Dainvo. If you choose a visible calendar, Dainvo can create a calendar copy so the time is reserved externally while Dainvo still shows the bucket itself.
Add tasks to a bucket
You can add local or synced tasks to a bucket.
The fastest ways are:
- Drag a task onto the bucket on the calendar.
- Drag a task into the task section of the open bucket details panel.
Adding a task to a bucket does not schedule that task separately. It only adds the task to the bucket list.
Complete tasks from a bucket
Use the checkbox beside a task in the bucket. Completing it updates the task everywhere.
Remove tasks from a bucket
Use the remove action beside the task in the bucket details panel. This removes the task from the bucket only. It does not delete the task and does not change its completed state.
Delete a bucket
Deleting a bucket removes the bucket from the calendar. Tasks inside the bucket are not deleted.
